JAESPA Maschinenfabrik Karl Jäger GmbH from Spangenberg is considered one of the leading manufacturers of horizontal, vertical and special band saw machines. According to the motto EXPERTISE IN SAWING, successful companies worldwide rely on JAESPA Maschinenfabrik Karl Jäger GmbH. As a medium-sized employer with over 30 employees in the mechanical engineering industry, JAESPA Maschinenfabrik Karl Jäger GmbH is aware of its social and ethical responsibility. With this code we want to draw attention to applicable laws, standards and legal risks. We expect all of our employees, our suppliers, customers and partners to respect these values and implement them in their daily work.

We are committed to promoting compliance with the content of this Code of Conduct among our suppliers and in the wider value chain within the scope of the respective possibilities and scope for action.

3 Communication

JAESPA Maschinenfabrik Karl Jäger GmbH communicates openly and in a dialogue-oriented manner about the requirements of this Code of Conduct and its implementation towards employees, customers, suppliers and other interest groups. All documents and records are duly created, not unfairly altered or destroyed, and stored properly. Trade secrets and business information of business partners are treated sensitively and confidentially.

4 Ethical / moral commitment and integrity

At the start of the employment relationship, employees are provided with understandable information about the essential working conditions, including: to provide their rights and obligations, working hours, remuneration and payment and billing modalities. 13 Rejecting child labor and protecting young workers

14 Reject forced labor

JAESPA Maschinenfabrik Karl Jäger GmbH rejects forced or compulsory labor in any form. This also applies to any form of debt bondage, serfdom, slavery or slave-like practices, human trafficking and extends to all forms of involuntary labor and services that are incompatible with internationally recognized labor and social standards.

15 Principles of compensation

JAESPA Maschinenfabrik Karl Jäger GmbH applies the statutory or - where applicable - collective agreement provisions when remunerating work services. JAESPA Maschinenfabrik Karl Jäger GmbH ensures that the pay of employees in the company does not fall below the applicable statutory or, if applicable, the collectively agreed or industry-standard minimum wage. In countries or regions without a legal or collective wage framework, JAESPA Maschinenfabrik Karl Jäger GmbH ensures that the wages paid are sufficient for regular full-time working hours to meet the basic needs of the employees. Wage deductions that are not permitted by law, including wage deductions as a disciplinary measure, are not tolerated by JAESPA Maschinenfabrik Karl Jäger GmbH.

16 Working hours

17 Freedom of coalition

At JAESPA Maschinenfabrik Karl Jäger GmbH, occupational health and safety encompasses the measures, resources, and methods used to protect our employees from work-related safety and health hazards. Our primary goal is the prevention of workplace accidents and the protection of the health of our employees and third parties.

For this reason, we ensure that all legally required occupational safety measures and regulations are implemented, taking the circumstances into account. Every manager is responsible for knowing the safety regulations and instructing their employees accordingly, or ensuring that their instruction is provided by third parties. We, along with all supervisors and employees, are equally responsible for ensuring consistent compliance. All employees must comply with the applicable national and European legal regulations and the accident prevention regulations of the employers' liability insurance association as a minimum standard, as well as the corresponding work instructions. How these regulations are to be implemented in daily operations is taught in an annual safety training session, attendance at which is mandatory for all employees. Furthermore, all legal regulations also apply to external business partners who carry out work on our company premises.
